Distance Learning
Forging STEAM connections through accessible project-based education.
Engage’s Distance Learning team provides real-time STEAM education to rural schools across Oklahoma, using hands-on discovery tools to introduce participants to circuit-building, 3D modeling, coding, and earth science.

Our Program
3D Design
Using TinkerCAD, students put into practice the distinction between 2D and 3D forms, as they model a unique figurine of their own design.
Learning objectives include: design fundamentals, geometric form, and 3D conceptualization.
Electricity & Circuits
By building circuits of their very own, students develop a strong understanding of the foundations of electricity and the components required for a functional circuit.
Learning objectives include: the scientific method, conductivity, and prototyping.
Earth Science
Through the vector of seismology, students uncover natural phenomena below the earth’s surface, as they perform their own seismic surveys to explore a simulated digsite.
Learning objectives include: geology, order of operations, and pattern recognition.
Coding
With the application of Scratch, MIT Media Lab’s block-coding language, students discover the principles and structure of computer programming, as they design their own personalized video game.
Learning objectives include: problem solving, computational thinking, and creative expression.
